On March 8, women and girls around the world will be celebrating International Women’s Day (and Women’s Day gifts) all over the world. IWD is about bringing equality to all women regardless of culture or race. A great way to find out more about the history and success of women is to watch movies representing women as heroines. 1. Kahaani

Vidya Balan is the only hero in this Kahaani. Do you remember how you used the screen like Vidya Bagchi? That cold spinal thriller would not have been the same without Vidya. Some of the characters were very bright in the background as he swept the audience to their feet.

2. English Vinglish

Women centric movies
One of the movies we would like to promote. Sridevi is back again and has become a favorite of all time. Sridevi made her presence sound on the big screen as a woman much more than a mother and wife. The way Gauri Shinde helped this movie is glorious.

3. The Queen

Women centric movies
We saw Rani (Kangana Ranaut) go on her honeymoon alone. How often do you see that? Kangana left us wanting more than all the scenes and we didn’t want to see anyone but him. Kangana won a national award for the movie. The movie doesn’t need a hero, it needs a queen; so proven.

No doubt you have heard of him, or you have never met him. His dignity preceded him, so much so that people could actually feel his cold presence before he entered the room.
